Who am I?

I love chocolate
but prefer fruit ice cream.
I am spontaneous
but also like plans.
People say I am different
but sometimes I just feel all the same.
My sense of orientation is excellent
but there are moments I just don't know where to go.
I am happy
and grief-stricken melancholic at the same time.
I am forward-looking
but also like to wallow in nostalgia.
I love to loose myself in daydreams
and can't sleep at night.
I try to be confident
but now and then doubt crosses my way.
My eyes see clearly
but are they able to see through the veiling haze?
I can't decide on my favourite colour,
on occasion it is the extravagant violet
and every so often everything seems painted in faceless grey.
I like silence
and sometimes can't stand it.
I think I know myself
but betimes I feel like I don't...
